Abstract

Engagement is an important human resource variable for the organisations. It helps enable
organisation to deliver a better performance and to gain a competitive advantage. Engaged
employees make additional effort, learn more, faster, and are more resourceful.
Engagement takes dedicated and motivated employees to the next level. Engaged employees
focus on the goals of organisation and on the results that as an organisation expect from them.
They have the feeling that they really can contribute to the success of organisation and that all
their abilities are being utilised.
Employee engagement is the affecting connection an employee experiences that result in a
motivation to expend flexible effort at work. Truly engaged employees imitate a company's
respect for its workforce, which, in turn, can be seen in employees' job satisfaction and
satisfaction of possession in their work.

and have higher employee satisfaction ratings than organizations with low levels of employee
engagement, also have less absenteeism and less turnover.
A company with specific employee satisfaction will find it easier to hire new workers, and
studies have shown that engaged employees can increase the productivity and company’s
profitability. A culture of engagement will also make on boarding easier, leading to new
employees becoming fruitful at a faster rate.
Employee engagement is about being incorporated fully as a member of the team, focus on
company’s goal, achievement & self as well as company’s development through receiving
regular and positive feedback from management and supported with developing new skills
and renowned for achievement.
